It was an absolute joy to shoot the legendary Opeth at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre on Friday April 25, 2022. That sure feels great to write! Live shows in 2022, and one of the all-time favourites of many a metalhead, good stuff. This was only the second date of their co-headlining tour with Mastodon. The tour is currently continuing through sixteen US and Canadian cities, coming to a close on May 11th in Riverside, California. Support is provided by special guests Khemmis. Georgia sweethearts MASTODON lit up the night with their well known boundless energy. I really enjoyed hearing one of the newer songs, “Teardrinker”, live for the first time.
