Saw the show in Calgary and it was just as you described, Adrien. Got to meet Dave and David as they were leaving the hotel we had stayed in. They are a class act.

It’s gonna be my 2nd time seeing Megadeth and Testament but now I get see David Ellefson and Glen Drover awesome, I just hope no fat sweaty guy is behind me this time XP.

fuck was that ever an awesome show man i was front row for all of them especially megadeth and i found a Chris Broderick pick on the floor not too far from where i was standing man i wish i could relive that night and i was wondering if you guys would be able to send me those pics from the concert to my email?

I think FUCK THE FACTS is seriously onto something here. As music as a physical artifact becomes more and more marginalized, I think that producing objects like this is the most appropriate response. Creating beautiful, dare I say fetishized, packaging points to the fact that it is becoming more difficult (and more rare) for music to complete in the physical realm. It both embraces its marginalia and defies it. I want to see more of this, more beautiful objects that refuse to give up on their physicality and artfulness.

Dopesmokers don’t find it funny, either. Graveyard Classics II was a laugh riot–until we saw the 26 dollar price tag they slapped on it at record stores. The fact that they’ve put out a third covers after Barnes in Black is not even slightly amusing. I think it’s time to write off Cannibal Chris, unless he comes back with GCIV: SFU Sings the One-Hit Wonders of the 80’s! Better that than him butchering Powerslave or Ace of Spades (the albums, although I wouldn’t wanna hear him sing those songs, either.)
